2. Framework overview

Programme timeline

An ERP programme should begin with research, then progress through several steps into implementation. There are several interdependencies between activities which need to be managed. Following completion of design and creation of strategies, multiple workstreams are launched and must align to ensure the successful implementation. That’s why it’s important to understand each step required for go-live and apply an implementation framework from the beginning.

Stage gates

Programme stage gates provide a clear view of the key decision points that shape an ERP journey. They’re designed to give insight into when and how critical choices are made to keep a programme on track.

Go / no go criteria

These go/no-go criteria define the tasks that need to be completed by each stage gate to focus effort effectively. By understanding them, programme teams can plan their activities more confidently and avoid delays.
